Presenter information

Presentations should be in PowerPoint format and should include all video’s, audio’s, fonts, etc. needed for the presentation. Please bring your presentation on a USB-stick/flash drive; you will not be able to use your own computer.
Presentation should be uploaded in the break preceding your session and in the room in which your session is scheduled. There will be an assistant in the room, who will upload the presentation for you. Make sure your presentation is uploaded before your session begins.

Oral Presentation sessions
Oral Presentation sessions on Thursday include up to 5 presentations and last 75 minutes. Oral presentations sessions on Friday and Saturday include up to 4 presentations and last 60 minutes.
The time available for each oral presentation is 13 minutes, including at least 2 minutes of discussion with the audience.
For each Oral Presentation session a Chair has been appointed (see Programme Details on the conference website), who moderates all discussions with the audience and checks time.

Symposium sessions
The duration of each Symposium sessions is 60 minutes, including at least 10 minutes discussion with the audience. The Organiser of the symposium may appoint a Chair or Discussant for the symposium

Posters and Guided Poster sessions
The poster size should be A0 portrait format (width 841mm and height 1189mm). The poster boards cannot accommodate larger posters or posters in landscape format. We kindly ask you not to laminate your poster with plastic. Laminated posters tend to curl and are difficult
to affix to the boards.

The poster boards will be numbered and you will be receive a number at the Registration desk to hang your poster. Posters should be installed before 11.15 h. on Thursday, October 5. Materials and help will be available to install your poster. We kindly ask you to display
your poster until the end of the conference on Saturday.

Parallel Guided Poster sessions are scheduled on Thursday, October 5, 13.00 -14.00 h. All posters are classified in one of the five conference themes (including ‘Other’) and there will be a Guided Poster session for each theme. A Chair has been appointed for each Guided Poster, who will take a group of participants along the approximately 15 posters per theme, gives the poster presenters the opportunity to briefly present their poster (3 minutes each, including time for discussion) and invites the participants to ask questions.
Among the posters presented in the Guided Poster sessions, awards will be granted to the best poster per conference theme with respect to content, lay-out and oral presentation. The awards will entail a certificate of excellence and a check of 250 euro. The five awards (one per conference theme) will be presented in a Poster Award ceremony, as part of the Closing session of the conference.
